Rob starts the show with a homage to Prunella Scales who passed away age 93. We play the Tesco advert with her in dreaming of Roger Moore.

ANYTHING BONDIAN PETE - I regale a story that happened last week of me being taken to Dukes by mistake.

ANYTHING BONDIAN ROB - Gives a debrief of the Shaken Not Stirred Event, which included the launch of the new Bond Location book, Darker Than the Sun.

Shout out to Xray Stu for donating the props. I was kindly given one Tchaikovsky Tape. I recommend you check out Rob's INSTA page for photos from the event.

I reference some jokes I penned out for the advert I was asked to create for the program for the event. Here are some that were in the hat.

Map jokes

Here are some of the Map jokes I had written out for the advert in the program.

Top tip. Play a prank on family members by drawing a big X somewhere on the map, crisp it up in the oven until brown, and then leave in your loft until dead. Any relative that finds it after you die will think it will lead them to buried treasure.

Top tip: Save money on buying this map, by simply asking either Ajay Chowdhury or Martijn Mulder where each location is.

Top tip: Save money on buying this map by swimming up and down the Thames until you match the locations with screenshots on your phone. (Waterproof case for your phone advised).

Top tip: Reenact moments of the pre-titles by spray painting a golf cart black and driving it through your neighbours shed.

Top tip: Convince your work colleague you’ve been in a high speed boat chase along the Thames by simply showering in your suit before leaving the house.

Top tip: Before using this map, organise a meeting with your employer and abruptly end it by smelling your fingers saying ‘King, the money’ before running out the office.

I speak to Herbie J. Pilato about his book Connery, Sean Connery. Available through his website. You can watch the interview on its on YouTube if you prefer.

Afterwards we crack on with minutes 4 & 5 of On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Here are some notes, penned crudely.

Bond realising that Tracy is walking into the sea to commit suicide, drives the DBS onto the beach, gets out, his face still semi in the dark, but takes off his jacket.

And we don’t see him take off his bow tie; we assume that he does. And gives chase.

Now in the novel this is slightly different as Bond is already on the beach and it's on the coast of France not Portugal. And Bond is watching her go into the sea and then runs after her, he reaches her before she even goes in.

We're also Introduced to Terence Mountain here, just turned 89 years old. I think he lives in Stockholm now.

The knife wielding henchman 2 is played by Bill Morgan. Bill was a stuntman who performed a variety of uncredited stunts in the early Bond film. He was first credited as a stuntman in You Only Live Twice.

According to DVD commentary for Diamonds Are Forever, he returned as a stuntman for the Bond films in the opening scenes of Diamonds Are Forever, where he performed as a clone, drowned in a mud bath. (From BOND WIKI)

Minute ends with Bond being told to get into a boat by Terry.

The shirt Bond wears is by Frank Foster and I have the same one. I have penned an article about it here.

The evening shirt is Swiss cotton voile, The collar shape is chosen to best suit your face shape and neck dimensions. Pleats are interspaced with vintage “baby” lace. Yours could well be the same lace, as I excavated it out of an ancient box. Buttons,  are all 4 hole, mother of Pearl, natural shell.

Listenermail

This from Simon Chambers who has kindly subscribed to Patreon and left some information on how others can join.

"How are you doing?  I hope all is well and that you're back to a more "normal" schedule after your and Rob's travels.

I've just joined the Patreon and am looking forward to listening to the episodes you're producing there!

One thing I wanted to point out as you've talked a few times on the free show about how people can listen to the episodes from the Patreon podcast, and I wanted to share how they can set it up in their podcast app of choice.  It's great to use the Patreon app, but if you're traveling or don't have a strong internet, it can be useful to download them to your podcast app and then listen to it without needing the internet.

ree

If they go to the There will be MORE Bond page on Patreon, there is a button to "Listen in app" just under the title of the page.  Click on that, and it brings up a list of options, one of which is "Other podcast apps".  Clicking on that will let you copy the RSS URL, which you can then add in your podcast app.  So I've now got the shows coming directly to me in Overcast, to download when I am at home and have wifi, and I can listen without draining my mobile data when I'm out and about, or can listen on a flight, or when I'm overseas, or whatever."
