You can watch that video here.

We also talk about our trip to the Thunderball Location, The Royal Saracen's Head and I've done a small write up of the location on my London Bond Map blog.

MIN 13

In this minute we see the entrance of Tracy, she appears like she does in the novel, and a bit like Bond, with the suggestion, rather than a full reveal. But she bets on a hand, she loses emphatically, and then discards her cards across the table. The pit boss comes and, she beckons him with her finger, and 'whispers I don’t have any money'.

The pit boss is perplexed. And the guy next to Bond offers his commentary,

“Dame can’t pay up.”

As Tracy is being shown away, Bond interrupts and says, “Forgive me, my mind was elsewhere, madame forgot to say we were partners this evening, please continue.”

MIN 14

Bond sits down with Tracy, she calls the waiter but its Bond who orders,

“Dom Perignon 57”

The soundtrack song is "Try", from the OHMSS soundtrack by John Barry.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service: Bond orders a Dom Pérignon '57 in the Casino restaurant for Tracy and himself and has it brought to room 423 with caviar for two.

Problem is, there is no such thing as a Dom Perignon ’57. That vintage simply doesn’t exist.

ree

Well, what happened to the vintage of 1957? The answer is undramatic however. The grapes of the autumn of 1957 were simply not up to Dom Perignon standard according to their Chef de Cave.

In fact there was a big gap in Dom Perignon from 1955 to 1959. Dom Perignon didn’t know about the mistake in the script until the movie was out. So far it is the only fictitious champagne to feature in a Bond film.
